Recently spied on the Avenue in Hampden:
I don't know whether this stripped down facade was a recent unveiling by way of renovation, or whether I just hadn't ever noticed it before.
And then less than two minutes of sauntering later...
A glance into an antique shop's display window reveals the Ideal Theatre's former splendor circa nineteen-forty-something.
Every once in a while I'm reminded that this brokedown city has a lot of beauty to it, if you're open to seeing it.

ok....fucking weird.
I JUST clicked publish on my blog titled "then and now".
It has absolutely nothing to do with Baltimore. (i think its about Baltimore, I didnt even read it yet, just thought I would comment first at my amusement)
ok now I read it....
It's funny....because it was my first visit to the Avenue of all places that I finally realized why they call it "Charm City".
