I'm in the tiniest bit of a quandry.
I just don't know what Haruki Murakami book to read next.
Late last year I read (and loved) Sputnik Sweetheart.
I've now collected:
*Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World
*Kafka on the Shore
*The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles
All three are now sitting in one of my many piles of books, waiting to be chosen. Any fans, please advise.

Kafka on the shore was my favorite - - oddly i read the 3 sitting but not the one you read... how was it?
I really dug it. But from looking around on the interwebs it seems like it's a bit simpler of a storyline than he usually does.
It seemed like a good introduction to Murakami. I'd recommend it (and have a copy to lend out!)
From the Salon review of Sputnik Sweetheart:
"Trying to nail down the seductive, surreal melancholy of Haruki Murakami's novels is like trying to bottle fog. His characters can be found drifting around Tokyo, checking out French new wave movies, drinking glasses of red wine, listening to Brahms on their hi-fis, reading Raymond Chandler -- almost always alone. A Murakami hero is the well-groomed guy sitting by himself at the end of the counter in an all-night coffee shop, smoking perhaps and staring off into space. Chances are he's puzzled over a recent encounter with an enigmatic woman. Chances are she's disappeared. And chances are he won't ever quite figure out what's happened to her."
Swoon.
Yeah I found the storyline of Kafka to be the most interesting. It's definitely the most fun of the books. The johnny walker character blows me away and it really reminds me of Asia.
